Global Game Jam Stockholm is part of the worlds biggest game making event, the Global Game Jam. This year, the 2016 GGJSthlm jam site will be at Tekniska Museet, where jamming will continue uninterrupted throughout the weekend. GGJSthlm is organized on a voluntary basis.
This is the official signup for the event, where you get your ticket: GGJSthlm 2016 signup
Please also create a user on the Global Game Jam site, so that other jammers can find you: GGJ global site.
GGJSthlm 2016 will host around 80 jammers. We can squeeze in a few extra, but places are likely to run out before the event. To ensure your spot, sign up today!
GGJSthlm 2016 prices:
- Regular jam ticket 100 SEK
- Youth jam ticket 100 SEK
- TjejHack jam ticket 0 SEK
- Company ticket, individual 1000 SEK
All jam tickets cover snacks and breakfast for the duration of the jam. Jammers under 15 should register for a Youth Jam ticket or a TjejHack ticket.
Youth jam tickets are reserved for jammers under 15. Youth jam participants work alongside other jammers, and participants receive extra support in the form of workshops and mentorship. Special rules apply to jammers under 15.
TjejHack tickets are reserved for girls and women only. TjejHack jammers participate alongside other jammers, and participants receive extra support in the form of workshops and mentorship. Special rules apply to jammers under 15.
Company tickets are for those of you who already have established your place in the game industry. The company ticket lets you participate in the jam just like a regular jammer (single jammer, snacks and breakfast included). Registering on a company ticket is not mandatory, but it is a nice way for established game makers to help support a healthy and fun jam culture where more talent can be born and cultivated. The ticket cost is tax-deducible, so make sure to save the receipt for bookkeeping!
Jammers under 15 may not stay overnight at the jam site without adult supervision. Jammers under 10 should be accompanied by a parent throughout the jam. Younger jammers can either leave the jam site for the night, or stay overnight together with an accompanying adult. If you are a few friends joining the jam together, you can agree to have one parent accompany the lot of you to the jam (max 4 children / adult).
When registering to the jam, jammers under 15 must provide the name of an accompanying adult, who is responsible for either staying overnight at the jam site, or accompanying the child home after the museum closes. The assigned person should register a (free) accompanying adult ticket to the jam or – if they wish to jam – register a regular jam ticket (100 SEK).
